From the moment we arrived and were greeted with such a lovely welcome until the moment we left, we knew this place was special. Our room was St Cuthbert's Cave- gorgeously appointed, comfortable bed, lovely amenities, and delicious cookies everyday! The breakfasts were lovely- cooked to perfection-everyone working there was kind, informative, personable, and helpful. Within walking distance of everything- Alnwick has always been a special place to visit; adding a stay at The Cookie Jar makes it even more so. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic! It is very rare these days that you Stay somewhere, which is absolutely spot-on in every way. Thank you so much to Debbie and her team for fitting us in last minute but making us feel really special. Our room was Scrupulously clean, The team were absolutely amazing, in particular Leigh was fabulous, The food was fabulous for both dinner and breakfast. A gem of a hotel, tucked away close to the centre of Alnwick. This was a perfect getaway for a long weekend. The rooms are wonderfully presented and the complimentary cookies were yummy. Easy walking distance to Alnwick castle (100 yards) and the town centre (200 yards). The staff are very professional and friendly, and the food is amazing. If you want a top class hotel with all the trimmings, I would highly recommend the Cookie Jar!
Delightful little hotel established in a beautiful historic house that was previously a nunnery. Comfortable room, lovely lounge where you could get a drink, and always great to have freshly cooked hot breakfast rather than the tepid buffet stuff in the chain hotels.
